Kishore Mahbubani

Kishore Mahbubani is a most influential Asian thinker and former diplomat who worked as a UN ambassador. In this capacity, he served as President of the Security Council in 2001 and 2002. He wrote a number of important books on the increase of the power of Asia and the decline of Western influence in the world, such as Can Asians Think? Understanding the Divide Between East and West (2001), The New Asian Hemisphere: The Irresistible Shift of Global Power to the East (2008) and his bestseller Has the West Lost It? (2018). Mahbubani has been professor and dean at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore since 2004.
