Ladan Boroumand

Ladan Boroumand is a historian and a human rights advocate. She studied political sociology and has a PhD in French history. Boroumand is currently research director of the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation, a US non-governmental organization which wants to promote civil rights education in her native country Iran, for instance by publishing Persian translations of classical works on democracy by John Locke and Vaclav Havel.
