Michael Brenner is Professor of Jewish History and Culture at the University of Munich. He studied in Heidelberg and Jerusalem and obtained a PhD at Columbia University. Amnog his works are Nach dem Holocaust. Juden in Deutschland 1945-1950 (1995), The Renaissance of Jewish Culture in Weimar Germany (1996) and Die Geschichte des Zionismus: 1882-1948 (2002). Brenner is also a co-author of the four-volume study German-Jewish History in Modern Times (1996-1998).
