Nicholas Kenyon

Nicholas Kenyon is director of the Barbican Centre, an organization for art and education. He studied history at Oxford and was a music journalist for The New Yorker, The Times, The Listener and The Observer. He became widely known as the director of BBC Proms. Among his publications are The BBC Symphony Orchestra: the first 50 years (1982) and the biography Simon Rattle: from Birmingham to Berlin (2001).
