Peter Schneider

Peter Schneider studied German, history and philosophy. He has been active in politics since 1965: he wrote speeches for SPD politicians and was one of the key figures in the 1968 student movement. Schneider writes short stories, novels, scenarios and reviews. He has been a Visiting Professor at universities such as Stanford and Princeton since 1985. Well-known works are Vati (1987), Die Diktatur der Geschwindigkeit (2000) and Rebellion und Wahn (2008).
