Ronald de Leeuw
Ronald de Leeuw is an art historian. He studied art history in Los Angeles and Leiden, and worked as a curator with the Rijksdienst Beeldende Kunst, which is responsible for the Dutch government’s art collection. In 1986, he became director of the Van Gogh Museum, and he was Professor in Museology and History of Collections at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He became well known as the director of the Rijksmuseum, between 1996 and his retirement in 2008.
