Ugo Dotti

Ugo Dotti was a literary scholar and a Petrarch expert. He was Professor of Italian an humanistic literature at the universities of Urbino, Salerno and Perugia. Dotti wrote a great number of works on Italian literature, such as the biography Vita di Petrarca (1987), and was the editor of Petrarch’s Canzoniere (1992). He also published the three-volume compendium Storia degli intellettuali in Italia (1997-1999).
