Yoel Gamzou
Yoel Gamzou is a conductor. He studied conducting in Tel Aviv, New York, Paris and Munich and in 2006 founded the International Mahler Orchestra, where he is director and principal conductor. In 2004, he began working on the ‘completion’ of Mahler’s unfinished Tenth Symphony, which premiered in 2010 and was recorded on cd and dvd. In 2010, Gamzou conducted at the Neue Philharmonie in Munich and since 2011, he has been working at the Staatstheater Kassel. In 2013, he received the Princess Margriet Award ‘for his exceptional talent and energy in inspiring different generations of musicians and audiences across Europe’.
