James Wood

James Wood is the writer of literary reviews, essays and a novel. After completing his studies at Cambridge, he became a literary critic with journals such as The Guardian, The New Republic, The New Yorker and The London Review of Books. He has been teaching literary criticism at Harvard since 2003, becoming a Professor there in 2010. Among his works are The Broken Estate: Essays on Literature and Belief (2000), How Fiction Works (2008) and the autobiographical novel The Book Against God (2003).
