Robert Musil
Robert Musil initially received a military education, later he became an engineer and he studied literature, psychology and philosophy. After his experiences at the front in the First World War he worked as a theatre critic and an editor at literary magazines. He also wrote several plays. Posthumously, Musil became world famous for his unfinished trilogy The Man Without Qualities. His Jewish wife Marthe Heinemann, with whom he fled the Nazi regime, published the third part after his death.
