Robin Holloway
Robin Holloway is a composer. He studied English and music at King’s College in Cambridge, and followed composition classes with Alexander Goehr. His many works are considered neo-romantic. Holloway began teaching music at Cambridge in 1974, becoming a Professor of Music Composition in 2001 and remaining there until his retirement in 2011. Between 1988 and 2010, Holloway was a columnist for the Spectator. His columns were collected in On Music: Essays and Diversions 1963-2003 (2003) and Essays and Diversions II (2008).
