Sherry Turkle
Sherry Turkle is a clinical psychologist. She studied sociology and psychology at Harvard, and has been Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1999. Her book Alone Together: Why We Expect More From Technology and Less From Each Other (2011) completed Turkle’s trilogy on the human aspects of digital technology, whose other parts were The Second Self: Computers and the Human Spirit (1984) and Life on the Screen: Identity in the Age of the Internet (1995).
