Jaap Goedegebuure is a Dutch literature scholar. He studied Dutch language and literature at the University of Leiden and comparative literature at Utrecht University, and obtained a PhD on the works of Marsman in Leiden in 1981. During his career as a literary critic for Haagse Post, later HP/De Tijd, he published articles on the fin de siècle, the interbellum period and contemporary literature. Between 1986 and 2005, he was Professor of Theory and History of New Literature in Tilburg. Among his works are Nederlandse literatuur 1960 – 1988 (1989), Nieuwe zakelijkheid (1992), De Schrift herschreven (1993) and Nederlandse schrijvers en religie 1960-2010 (2010).
