
Roger Scruton
Roger Scruton was Professor of Aesthetics at Birkbeck College in London until 1990 and Professor of Philosophy at Boston University before becoming a freelance author and advisor in 1994. Scruton is known as a conservative philosopher and wrote over 35 books on subjects like philosophy, literature, music and art, such as the intellectual autobiography Gentle Regrets (2005), Beauty (2009), Understanding Music (2009) and The Uses of Pessimism and the Danger of False Hope (2010). 2013 saw the appearance of The Face of God.
